daily snippets part deux

i really liked doing a daily snippet last week so i am doing it again. i don't want to make any long-term promises though so this could be it.

monday: watching the big kids during recess. poor elliot wants to be big so very much and he just isn't yet. but oh someday kid...

tuesday: picnic at the park. 70 degrees and sunny, sigh. it was perfection. and i think i like dressing a boy, seriously, madras shorts? i am in love (I swear they don't reach all of the way down to his ankles in real life, only most of the way).

wednesday: car seat chaos on the way to strawberry picking with cassandra and her cute boys. this is the stuff that i always wanted to go do when i had a job and no time. now, no job and lots and lots of time.

thursday: i am in love with the mormon mom cookbook, our best bites, that michelle discovered. what do you do with all of the strawberries you didn't mean to pick? make sour cream pound cake with coconut cream and fresh strawberries with a recipe from your new cookbook obviously.

friday: so so many cute things in seattle. everything about this meal from homegrown screamed cute.

saturday: excuse the gross sweatiness, i ran the rock and roll half-marathon on saturday. my 1:55:05 time doesn't get me close to qualifying for Boston but slowly and surely...

a sunday picture just didn't happen. just picture the usual craziness plus race hang over and speaking in church, you don't a picture to visualize that!

Looks like you guys are having lots of adventures! I'm jealous of the strawberry picking, sounds fun! I also love Our Best Bites. I found their blog a while back and have been making my way through lots of their recipes. Hope all is going well for you guys, we miss you!

Looks like you are livin' the dream! So impressed by your half-marathoning. I am inspired - keep it up! And those hunky shorts? Am in speechless and in love w/ Elliot the irresistible frat boy. Joey has been wanting to buy Trey a tank top. Still not sure about that, but am warming to the idea. Miss you!
